JCR-VIS Harmonizes Fund Stability Rating of BMA Empress Cash Fund

Karachi, April 02, 2012: JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company Limited has harmonized the fund stability rating (FSR) of BMA Empress Cash Fund (BECF) at ‘AA+(f)’ (Double A Plus(f)).

The investment policy mandates minimum exposure of 50% to government securities, depicting lower exposure to credit risk. At end-February 2012, asset allocation was aligned with investment policy whereby at least 51% of the fund comprised investment in ‘AAA’ rated exposures. Actual fund duration at end-February 2012 was 28 days, in conformity with the investment policy of the fund, which envisages maximum duration of 60 days.
