VIS Withdraws Rating of Basel 3 Compliant Tier-2 (Sukuk 3) Instrument of Meezan Bank Limited

Karachi, June 30, 2025: VIS Credit Rating Company Limited (VIS) has withdrawn rating of ‘AAA’ (Triple AAA) assigned to Sukuk 3 (Basel 3 Complaint Tier-2 instrument) of Meezan Bank Limited (‘MEBL’ or the ‘Bank’) on account of call option being exercised by the Bank on June 11, 2025. The Sukuk was issued on January 09, 2020. The last rating action was announced on June 28, 2024.
