VIS Reaffirms Fund Stability Rating of UBL Growth & Income Fund

Karachi, December 31, 2025: VIS Credit Ratings Company Ltd. (VIS) has reaffirmed Fund Stability Rating (FSR) of UBL Growth and Income Fund at ‘A+(f)’ (A Plus (f)). The medium to long-term fund rating of ‘A+’ denotes moderate degree of stability in Net Asset Value; Risk factors may vary with possible changes in the economy. The previous rating action was announced on January 09, 2025.

Launched in March 2006, UBL Growth and Income Fund (UGIF) is an open-end income fund, managed by UBL Fund Managers Limited. To invest in medium to long-term fixed income instruments as well as short-tenor money market instruments and seek to generate superior, long-term, risk-adjusted returns while preserving capital over the long term.

Notable growth was recorded in Assets Under Management, which increased by approximately 95% during FY25.The assigned rating reflects the Fund’s prudent asset allocation strategy, with Government Securities, comprising T-Bills, PIBs (fixed and floating), and GOP Ijara Sukuk, forming the dominant share of investments. Market risk was effectively managed, while the liquidity profile remained adequate to support redemption requirements. The Fund’s investor base is predominantly retail, contributing to a well-diversified AUM profile and low client concentration risk. During the review period, the Fund also demonstrated strong performance, outperforming both its benchmark and peer average.
