VIS Reaffirms the Entity Rating of Ali Gohar & Company Private Limited.

Karachi, July 02, 2026: VIS Credit Rating Company Limited (VIS) reaffirms the entity rating of Ali Gohar & Company Private Limited (‘AG&C’ or ‘the Company’) at A/A2. Medium to long term rating of ‘A' indicates good credit quality; Protection factors are adequate. Risk factors may vary with possible changes in the economy. Short term rating of 'A2' indicates good likelihood of timely repayment of short-term obligations with sound short-term liquidity factors. Outlook on the assigned rating is ‘Stable’. Previous rating action was announced on April 17, 2025.

AG&C established in 1968, is principally engaged in distribution of goods and provision of warehousing and logistics services. The Company operates mainly in three segments including pharmaceutical, healthcare and FMCG. The Company’s registered office is located in Karachi, while it operates a nationwide and maintains a broad national distribution network with a significant number of warehouses and distribution centers across Pakistan, supporting operations in numerous towns and cities.

The ratings reflect AG&C’s established market position as a nationwide distributor of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and fast-moving consumer goods. Reaffirmation of ratings adequate governance framework supported by an experienced leadership team and stable senior executive tenure. Adequate operational infrastructure managed through centralized control functions and integrated technology systems also supports the ratings.
Business risk is influenced by rising logistic costs. Revenue and gross profitability have improved due to an optimized product mix, whilst operating and net margins remain largely intact.
The Company continues to exhibit a sound capitalization profile, supported by a conservative leverage position. Liquidity remains comfortable owing to efficient working capital management.
